6a2ec8bb6f64d10efd0b2fcc9296ad0156feaf4f-1.jpegFather Medard Laz is the Director and Founder of Our Hearts for Humanity. He is a Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago, ordained in 1969. From his first trip to Haiti almost 20 years ago, Fr. Laz could see that Education, the right kind of Education, was the key to transforming Haiti. For the last 16 years Fr. Laz has worked with Food for the Poor in raising funds to build schools, hospital additions, community centers, fishing villages, homes, and the digging of wells. Since 2018 he has worked with Raygine Francois, the Director and Founder of the Haiti STEM Alliance to bring Inquiry-based Learning to students throughout Haiti.

Father Laz is the Co-founder of Rainbows, a program for children in single-parent homes and step-families. He is the Founder of Joyful Again!, a weekend retreat for the widowed. He is the author of ten books, including "Love Adds a Little Chocolate" and "THE GATHERING". Father Laz lives and ministers from his home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
